Did you know?

Tom Fazio, through the sheer number and quality of his designs, has become one of the greatest golf course architects of all time. In the modern era of the game, he has few peers, except perhaps Pete Dye, Robert Trent Jones Snr & Jnr, and Jack Nicklaus. He is the most famous of a distinguished family of course designers, which includes his uncle George, brother Jim, and Jim's son Tom Fazio II (also known as Tommy).

Tom Fazio grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia, and went to Lansdale Catholic High School. In his mid-20s he left the family's golf design firm and set-up his own company in Jupiter, Florida in 1972. His uncle George Fazio often credited his nephew Tom for kick-starting his own career in golf design. Together they collaborated on many designs in the 1970s and early '80s. Tom became a prolific designer with over 150 courses to his name, and more courses in America's top 100 course rankings than any other single designer.
