Growing up in a golfing family, Moriya Jutanugarn and her younger sister Ariya (major championship winner and former world No.1), both showed prodigious talent as amateur players. Moriya won the British Junior Championship in 2008 before turning pro four years later. She was crowned LPGA Tour Rookie of the Year in 2013.
After 156 starts on the LPGA Tour, Moriya secured her first win on the Tour in April 2018 at the inaugural Hugel-JTBC LA Open. Moriya's first LPGA Tour victory also allowed the Jutanugarns to join Annika and Charlotta Sorenstam as the only other sisters to win on the LPGA Tour. Moriya and sister Ariya are commonly known by their family nicknames of Mo and May.

Second-placed and defending team of Thidapa "Jasmine" Suwannapura (Thai) & Cydney Clanton (USA) finished 3 shots behind sisters Ariya & Moriya ("May & Mo") Jutanugarn (Thai), who claimed their 12th and 2nd LPGA Tour titles respectively. Played as the inaugural Hugel-JTBC LA Open (April 19-22). Second-placed Inbee Park (S Kor) and Jin Young Ko (S Kor) finished 2 shots behind 23-year-old Moriya Jutanugarn (Thai), who recorded her first LPGA Tour win in her 156th start on the Tour. With her younger sister Ariya, the Jutanugarns joined Annika and Charlotta Sorenstam as the only other sisters to win on the LPGA Tour. [Wilshire CC, Los Angeles, California].

Jutanugarn (Thai) won the LPGA Tour 2013 Louise Suggs Rolex Rookie of the Year Award as the leading first-season player. Using a season-long points system (based on finishes in Tour events), Jutanugarn accumulated 480 pts; Caroline Masson (Ger) was second with 479 pts. Jutanugarn finished 47th on the LPGA money list, with earnings of $293,158.

Xander Schauffele: recorded his first major championship win, and second record-equalling low score of 62 in a major. Only he, Branden Grace, Rickie Fowler and Shane Lowry have achieved this feat in a men’s major championship.
