Meg Mallon started playing golf aged seven, and continued her successful amateur career while at college at Ohio State University. She joined the LPGA Tour in 1987. Her breakthrough year came in 1991, when she recorded four victories, two of them coming in major championships.
After a successful professional career that included 19 wins and eight appearances in the Solheim Cup (and one as an assistant captain), Mallon retired from professional golf in 2010.
