Following graduation from McKinney High School in Texas in 2003, Lang attended Duke University, North Carolina. She recorded six collegiate tournament wins, and amongst several prestigious awards was named the 2004 NCAA Freshman College Golfer of the Year. After two years of college golf, Lang decided to turn professional in 2005. Her first professional win came in 2012 in her 154th LPGA Tour event.
Lang claimed a breakthrough major championship win in 2016. In a three-hole aggregate playoff against Sweden's Anna Nordqvist, both players were notified on the final playoff hole that video evidence showed Nordqvist had inadvertently touched the sand with her club in a bunker at the previous hole.

Played as the inaugural Manulife Financial LPGA Classic (June 21-24). 26-year-old Brittany Lang (USA) beat Hee Kyung Seo (S Kor) with a birdie at the third playoff hole, to record her first LPGA Tour win. 124th US Open: the No.2 Course at Pinehurst once again plays host to this most illustrious championship (June 13-16). Wyndham Clark defends his title, having won at Los Angeles CC in 2023.
79th Women’s US Open: the second women’s major championship of the season gets underway at Lancaster CC in Pennsylvania. It’s the second time the championship has been held here.

Nelly Korda: won the Mizuho Americas Open (May 16-19) at Liberty National GC, continuing her extraordinary form in LPGA events. This was her sixth win in seven starts in 2024.
Xander Schauffele: recorded his first major championship win, and second record-equalling low score of 62 in a major. Only he, Branden Grace, Rickie Fowler and Shane Lowry have achieved this feat in a men’s major championship.
