Walker Cup player (2007). Presidents Cup player (2022). FedEx Cup Champion (2014). Multiple wins on the PGA Tour.

Did you know?

Horschel attended the University of Florida in Gainsville, where he competed for the Florida Gators men's golf team from 2006-09. In the US Amateur championship in 2006, held at Hazeltine National, he shot an 18-hole tournament record 60 in his opening round, followed by a second round 75. He did not make it past the third round of match play. During his university amateur career Horschel was a four-time All-American golfer, which included three first-team honours.

After turning professional in 2009 Horschel required four trips to Qualifying School to keep his PGA Tour card alive from 2009 thru' 2013. His breakthrough win came in his 61st PGA Tour start at the 2013 Zurich Classic of New Orleans. Following the success in 2013, Horschel seriously got the golfing world's attention in 2014, winning two of the four FedEx Cup playoff events. These back-to-back wins in the BMW and Tour Championships were richly rewarded with the FedEx Cup itself and £10 million winners bonus. Two days after winning the FedExp Cup, Horschel became a father for the first time. Not a September he is ever likely to forget.
