Under the guidance of Pete Dye and his family, Coore developed a profound understanding of the key elements of creative design and physical construction.
It was the Dye family who first introduced Coore to the written classics of golf architecture - the same books that professional golfer Ben Crenshaw was then collecting and studying. The information within these books would later form the foundation for the highly successful golf design partnership that Coore struck-up with Crenshaw in 1986.
