Did you know?

Buhai (known then as Ashleigh Simon) enjoyed a highly successful amateur career, during which she won the 2004 Women's South African Open at the age of 14. She won the same title in 2007, again as an amateur, before notching-up her first Ladies European Tour win just three months later, in her third start as a professional.

With modest success on the LET and LPGA Tours in the 2010s, Buhai landed her most coveted title of all in 2022, winning the Women's British Open at Muirfield. Victory came at the fourth nerve-jangling hole of a sudden-death playoff against Korea's In Gee Chun.
