Fields Ranch (West)
PGA Frisco - Fields Ranch (West course): already much talked about, the two championship courses at the new PGA Frisco Fields Ranch facility are both recent additions to the Dallas-Fort Worth golfing scene. The West course is kept company by the Gil Hanse-designed East course, as well as a 10-hole short course (The Swing) and 2-acre practice putting green (The Dance Floor).
Set amongst the rolling hills of North Texas, and nestling alongside Panther Creek, the out-and-back West course features over 75 feet of elevation change. Its Blackland prairie setting is highlighted by native grasses, live oaks, and mesquite trees, making it a true oasis amid the neighboring urban landscape.

Beau Welling, designer of the Fields Ranch West course, spent over 10 formative years working in Tom Fazio's golf course design firm. More recently, and in addition to his own projects, Welling has been an important course architect for projects under Tiger Woods' TGR Design banner.
