Good
Operated by an independent board of directors, Taconic Golf Club is located on the campus of Williams College, a highly-selective private liberal arts college, established by Ephraim Williams in 1793. The college has many distinguished alumni (including former USA President James Garfield). Its athletics teams are known as the "Ephs".
The Club played host to the US Women's Amateur Championship in 1963 (see our Tournaments section >by Venue >Taconic).

Xander Schauffele: recorded his first major championship win, and second record-equalling low score of 62 in a major. Only he, Branden Grace, Rickie Fowler and Shane Lowry have achieved this feat in a men’s major championship.
