Blackstone's course architect Rees Jones is a member of one of the most distinguished course design families in golf. His father Robert Trent Jones was regarded as the preeminent designer of the second half of the 20th century. Rees's brother Robert Trent Jones Jr, commands no lesser reputation than his father and brother. Like Rees he is still enthusiastically designing courses to this day.
