Landmand Golf Club: "The Farmer's Golf Club", as it's sometimes known, is an inland links-style layout that most definitely tips its hat to the revered coastal links courses of Britain and Ireland ... albeit without the sea views.
Located just outside the classic Nebraska sandhills region, this open, raw, expansive layout makes full use of the naturally rolling terrain. And "full use" in Landmand's case includes opulently wide fairways, copious bunkering, and huge greensites.
Dramatic and challenging is a description that just about applies to all 18 holes. The par-3 12th (Top) offers a scary tee-shot over a large swale and cavernous front bunker. It also provides a stunning vista out across this Sandhills lookalike layout.
Stay&Play at Landmand: onsite cabin-style accommodation available, see Where2Stay section below.
Visitors welcome on weekdays and weekends (as and when tee-times are available).
Must book in advance.

Landmand, which is Danish for farmer (and pronounced lan-man), is a course built to honour the Andersens, a family who have been farming the Nebraska prairies for nearly 80 years. The course was the inspiration of Will Andersen, a fourth generation farmer and accomplished amateur golfer. Landmand is a course not only for the golf connoisseur but the local farmer looking to get in a few rounds between harvests!
