Treetops (Fazio - Premier)
The Treetops Resort in Gaylord is one of Michigan's best known golf, ski and spa resorts. It is home to five golf courses, which include Tom Fazio's Premier course, Robert Trent Jones Sr's Masterpiece layout, and three Rick Smith designs: the Signature, Tradition and 9-hole Threetops.
Like the Masterpiece and Signature layouts, the Premier is a championship golf course that ranks with some of the best in Michigan. This tree-lined and open parkland layout provides a wonderful test for your all-round game, with many attractive, skilfully crafted and challenging holes to enjoy. The course makes the most of the rolling terrain, striking a balance between challenge and forgiveness. It is the only course in Michigan designed by renowned architect, Tom Fazio.

Non-metal spike facility. Golf carts compulsory (walking permitted only on the Tradition course).
Excellent
The Tom Fazio designed Premier Course at Treetops Resort, is the only course in Michigan designed by famed architect Tom Fazio.
Treetops Resort can apparently thank golf architect Robert Trent Jones Sr for its name. While designing the resort's first golf course in the early 1980s, he looked out across the surrounding hills and commented that the impressive and very natural view was one dominated by "treetops."
