Sweetens Cove
Sweetens Cove Golf Club is regularly rated amongst the world's best nine-hole golf courses. Quietly located in the scenic Sequatchie Valley, this open linksy King-Collins design is a delight to play.
Using the architectural flavours of the great seaside links courses of Britain & Ireland, the gently rolling layout will enthral and challenge in equal measure.
Gently rolling fairways, a light sprinkling of trees, rustic bunkering and large sandy waste areas all contribute to the linksy charm of Sweetens Cove. Water hazards, fed by nearby Battle Creek, also play their part. With tree-clad hills rising up on both sides of this quiet, natural course, here is a nine-holer not to be missed if you are golfing in southern Tennessee.
Visitors welcome on weekdays and weekends.
Must book in advance.

Originally known as Sweeden's Cove in the 1800s, the area saw the Battle of Sweeden's Cove between Confederate and Union troops in 1862.
The original nine-hole golf course here dates from 1951, opening as the Sequatchie Valley Golf & Country Club. The name change to Sweetens Cove was made at the same time as the course was relaunched with a new design by King-Collins in the mid-2010s.
