Key West
Key West Golf Club: located on Stock Island at the entrance to Key West (the westernmost of the inhabited Florida Keys), you'll find the USA's most southerly golf course. The only "Caribbean" golf course in the United States, golf legend Rees Jones designed this attractive 6,500 yard course to be a challenge to players of all abilities.
Key West's 18 holes are typically bordered by tropical foliage as well as housing on a few holes. Also much in evidence is thickly entwined tropical mangroves, while Highway 1 flanks the layout's south side, as it completes its journey into Key West. There's plenty of stylish bunkering along the fairways and especially around the greens.
Pick of the holes: the infamous par-3 8th ("Mangrove") measures 178 yards from the tips, and is played from tee to island-green over the mangrove swamp.
Visitors welcome on weekdays and weekends.
Must book in advance.

The famous Florida Keys is a 220-mile stretch of over 800 tropical islands (keys), which run in a gently curving arc from just south of Miami in the northeast, to the Dry Tortugas in the southwest. Separated by the Straits of Florida, Cuba's capital city of Havana, lies just 90 nautical miles south of one of the most westerly keys, Marquesas Keys.
Over 40 bridges connect the various keys as they journey from the Atlantic Ocean into the mouth of the Gulf of Mexico. Along the way are many famous keys, not least Key Largo (of film fame), Little Torch Key, Big Pine Key, and Key West (the last inhabitated key).
124th US Open: the No.2 Course at Pinehurst once again plays host to this most illustrious championship (June 13-16). Wyndham Clark defends his title, having won at Los Angeles CC in 2023.
79th Women’s US Open: the second women’s major championship of the season gets underway at Lancaster CC in Pennsylvania. It’s the second time the championship has been held here.
(May 30-June 2).
Nelly Korda: won the Mizuho Americas Open (May 16-19) at Liberty National GC, continuing her extraordinary form in LPGA events. This was her sixth win in seven starts in 2024.
Xander Schauffele: recorded his first major championship win, and second record-equalling low score of 62 in a major. Only he, Branden Grace, Rickie Fowler and Shane Lowry have achieved this feat in a men’s major championship.
Marco Simone Golf & Country Club: With a clubhouse that might befit a Roman Emperor, and a golf course to match, you can be sure of a memorable outing at Rome's most talked about golf facility.
Jim Fazio's original layout was much changed to create a modern Ryder Cup course ... now one of the Eternal City's (and Italy's) most revered.
