Camp Creek
Camp Creek Golf Club: one of the great golf courses of the Florida panhandle. Here you'll find a stunningly natural Tom Fazio designed layout, although for visiting golfers possibly one of the Sunshine state's lesser known gems.
In this wonderfully natural house-free environment, the course meanders through open spaces and occasional tree-lined groves. One assumes little expense was spared in the creation of Camp Creek.
The wonderfully undulating sculpted terrain is characterised by a natural interplay of rolling fairways, mounded bunkering, sandy waste areas and indigenous flora. The result is a scenic delight and a veritable golfing challenge, superbly laced with a multitude of stylish sharp-edged bunkering. Small lakes are also in attendance alongside the good-width fairways and around several greens.
The many elevation changes at Camp Creek provide tee boxes that command excellent views of the challenges ahead, as well as accommodating some imposingly elevated greens, as at the spectacular lakeside short par-4 13th. The large and prodigiously sloping greens will test your putting as never before; if you fail to hit them, a combination of slick run-off areas and clinging bermuda rough will demand your full repertoire of short-game skills.
With a delightful variety of small trees, shrubs and grasses lining the holes, there is much to admire along the way, and plenty of reason to keep it straight and hit those rolling fairways. Without doubt, a Fazio layout that ranks with his best.

Excellent
The natural look and feel of Camp Creek owes much to the original coastal dunes and pine forest in which it was laid out, as well as to Tom Fazio's skilful design. The cart path, for example, is always set above and therefore cannot be seen from any of the fairways.
The wonderful array of natural wildlife includes several ospreys (fish eagles), often seen diving into the lakes to catch their next meal. Camp Creek is an Audubon International Certified Cooperative Sanctuary Course, recognized for its environmental stewardship of the golf course and its surroundings. The Golf Club is owned by the St Joe Company.
