Palmetto Dunes (Fazio)
George Fazio Course at Palmetto Dunes: the Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront Resort, located on the Atlantic Ocean shoreline of Hilton Head island, offers a wide variety of accommodations, activities galore for all the family, and three highly regarded championship golf courses - separately designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr, George Fazio and Arthur Hills.
On the George Fazio layout, dramatic bunkering and well-paced greens await, after you have navigated the carpet-like, gently rolling fairways. Like the Robert Trent Jones course, the Fazio contains a pleasant mix of tree-lined holes and others that occupy a slightly more open environment.
Two lengthy par-4s start and finish proceedings, with more open aspects of the front-nine, giving way to a tighter and more testing closing stretch on the back-nine.
