Did you know?

In the early 1990s, the Landmark Land Development Company broke ground on what was planned to be Stanford Oaks, a country club integrated with homes. The project was abandoned due to financial problems, and a new owner, Live Oak Enterprises, acquired the site. They completed the golf course design and build in consultation with golf legend Johnny Miller, and named it Whitney Oaks Golf Club. Since 2012 Whitney Oaks Golf Club has been owned and operated by the United Auburn Indian Community.
