Genoa Lakes (Ranch)
Genoa Lakes Golf Club is located on the eastern side and at the foot of the Carson Mountain Range, Lake Tahoe lies on the west side of the range.
Here at Genoa Lakes you'll find two scenic championship courses, both sidling up alongside the Carson River. Whereas the Lakes course has the river running directly through it, the Ranch course (formerly called the Resort course) is found two miles further north, with holes pushing into the Sierra Nevada foothills.
The Ranch course is a well-rated and always popular layout. 300 feet of elevation change through the course, over 100 bunkers, unpredictable mountain terrain, afternoon breezes and a waterfall, all combine to present excellent golfing challenges. This desert-style course should not disappoint, with many attractive features, stunning mountain views and several excellent holes to enjoy.
Visitors welcome on weekdays and weekends. Open all year.
Must book in advance.
Walking permitted.
Excellent
Both the Lakes and Ranch courses lie at the foot of the Carson Mountain range, which runs north-south between Reno and Carson Pass. The range is part of the Sierra Nevada mountains, and takes its name from legendary frontiersman Christopher Carson (1809-68). It provides the eastern flank of Lake Tahoe.
