Moose Run (Creek)
Moose Run Golf Course (Creek course): A facility of the Joint (Army-Air Force) Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Moose Run is home to the "world's northernmost 36-hole golf facility". Here you'll find the well-rated Creek course, designed by renowned golf course architect Robin Nelson, as well as the older, shorter but equally enjoyable Hill course.
At 7,324 yards the Creek course is the longest course in Alaska. Amongst many wonderfully scenic holes, the 6th and 11th both play through reclaimed gravel pits. Course description, images and other details to follow soon.
Visitors welcome on weekdays and weekends during the golf season (May thru' mid-Oct).

Just beyond Moose Run to the east is the start of the Chugach Mountain Range of southern Alaska. The range, which extends for about 250 miles eastward, is the northernmost of several ranges that constitute the Pacific Coastal Ranges on the western edge of North America. A popular destination for outdoor activities for the residents of Anchorage, the mountains are protected within the Chugach State Park and Chugach National Forest.
