Best golf courses: Barbados

Barbados is a golfers paradise with some stunning golf courses. This charming island of rich culture, tropical beauty and sunny weather all year round makes Barbados an ideal location for golf. In 2006 Barbados hosted the World Golf Championships World Cup. A four-day tournament held at the Sandy Lane Country Club course on the west coast of the island. Sandy Lane is well known for Tom Fazio's creations: The Country Club and the world-renowned Green Monkey. The Royal Westmoreland course has been host of the Barbados Open for several years (2000-2009).

The Sentry: known for many years as the Tournament of Champions, the PGA Tour’s 2025 season-opener gets underway on Kapalua’s Plantation course (Jan 2-5). Chris Kirk defends.

Just over the fence and sharing similar terrain is Royal St George’s; but Prince’s is far from overshadowed by its venerable neighbour.
