25 km W of Bangkok (Royal Grand Palace area)
From the Royal Grand Palace area of Bangkok, take route 338 over the Phra Pin Klao Bridge, heading west. At the intersection with route 3310 turn right onto the 3310 direction Salaya / Putthamonthon. At Salaya (at end of road) turn left. After 700 metres turn right at the traffic lights. After 3 km golf entrance is on your left.
The RG Salaya Golf & Sport Club (formerly Royal Gems S&GC): Here on the western side of Bangkok is one of the best presented golf courses in the greater Bangkok area. That said, it is hard to imagine a layout where more water comes into play alongside the fairways and around the greens.
With water flanking most fairways on one side or the other (and occasionally both), you'll need a steady nerve and excellent shot-making to make it round here without at least a few splashes. If you've stayed dry until the heavily-bunkered par-3 17th, you're biggest test is about to come. The long par-5 18th is a combination of a drive onto a peninsula, lay-up to an island fairway, and then an approach to what is virtually an island green. Good luck!
Each hole has been individually sculpted to presents its own unique challenge. In addition to the water hazards, there's an impressive array of bunkering, including small pot bunkers, sprawling fairway traps and beach-like greenside bunkers.
Several mansion-sized villas occupy land just beyond the course perimeter, but not to the point that they interfere with or detract from the golf, or indeed the naturalness of the course.

RG Salaya takes its name from its former incarnation as Royal GemsGolf & Sport Club, and the tambon ("township") of Salaya in which it is located. Salaya's sister course, RG City Golf Club, is located an hour's drive northeast of downtown Bangkok.
