Heading south from Chonburi, follow the Bangkok-Chonburi motorway (route 7) for 45-50 km, and then take route 36, direction Rayong. After approx 17 km turn right at traffic lights onto route 3376, direction Ban Chang. After 6 km golf entrance is on your left.
Rayong Green Valley Country Club: If its companion course St Andrews 2000 has given you a bit of a beating, the somewhat easier-going Rayong Green Valley layout may help restore some of your golfing pride. With both courses utilising the same clubhouse (and accommodation) facilities, the Green Valley layout is more of a classic parkland course, with gentle rather than dramatic elevation changes.
The lightly tree-lined holes are laid out on nicely undulating terrain, where often high-faced bunkers are deployed along the good-width fairways and around the undulating elevated greens. Not only will your putting and bunker play be tested, but with short grass run-offs around the greens, you will also have plenty of opportunity to show-off your pitching and chipping skills.
With many flowering plants, shrubs and even ornamental cactus planted around the course, the parkland environment becomes distinctly garden-like in places. All in all, a very pleasant and nicely undulating parkland layout, with some picturesque views onto surrounding rural countryside and partially jungle-clad hills.
