Take the Eastern Outer Ring Road (route 9) and head north from Bangkok. Exit right onto route 3312, direction Lam Lukka. After 14 km turn left onto the 3009 direction Thanya Buri, just before klong (canal) 11. After 6 km turn right. Follow road to golf.
Lam Luk Ka Country Club (West course): Few locations offer 36 more impressive golf holes than Lam Luk Ka (sometimes written Lamlukka). In this very natural, rural environment, away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Bangkok, four relatively similar nine-hole loops are interchangeably used on any given day.
The West course comprises the C & D nines, the East the A & B nines. Though there is little to separate them in terms of quality of presentation (always excellent), the West course (6600 yards from the tips) is a bit shorter than the East course (7000 yards).
What the West lacks in length many would say it makes up for in beauty. Certainly the gently undulating terrain of the back-nine (D course) creates many wonderful golf holes, where elevated tee boxes give you a perfect view of what's needed to safely reach the often elevated greens.
If you can avoid the many lakes and ponds that flank just about every hole, ball-finding from wayward shots should not be too difficult with only lightish semi-rough beyond the good-width and usually immaculate fairways. The par-4 15th is one of the few "dry" holes, but beware the river-of-sand waste bunker that stretches almost from tee-to-green. The impressive closing stretch continues with a delightful island-green short par-3, followed by a very handsome shortish par-5 17th.
The long par-4 18th returns you to Lamlukka's impressive clubhouse. Good bunkering throughout and well-paced, subtly sloping greens reinforce the overall high quality golf environment here. Although the East may claim the honour for being longer and therefore tougher course, don't ignore the West course, which we'd suggest is the more picturesque and at times more technically demanding.
Visitors welcome on weekdays and weekends.

A short drive from Bangkok's bustling metropolis, Lam Luk Ka is the stage for a golf experience not easily forgotten. Both of its championship golf courses meander through Bangkok's wetlands, where its waterways and over 10,000 trees provide homes to over 100 species of birds and wildlife. These wetlands are part of the delta system of the Chao Phraya river, one of Thailand's largest rivers which passes through Bangkok as it flows out to the Gulf of Thailand.
