Parador de Málaga Golf, also known as Real (Royal) Club de Campo Málaga: RCCM is by far the oldest golf course on the Costa del Sol. Designed by Tom Simpson, the architect of Turnberry and Muirfield in Scotland, the course opened for play in 1925.
The Club is located about 10 km from the capital Málaga, near Torremolinos, in the heart of the Costa del Sol. It is close to the mouth of the River Guadalhorce, a protected natural area which is home to innumerable species of birds.
The golf course is located directly alongside the Mediterranean Sea, and is a generally well-regarded layout with several attractive features, not least the seaside holes and sea views it offers. This tree-lined and open parkland layout is well worth a visit and should provide an enjoyable and testing round.
