Jandia
Golf Club Jandia is situated in the southernmost part of Fuerteventura, the third golf course to be established on the island. The layout straddles either side of the Barranco de Vinamar, a natural river valley that runs from the mountainous interior and into the azure blue Atlantic, just a few hundred metres downstream from the golf course.
The Jandia layout is flanked by the arid, grey-brown sides of the valley, which climb to over 200 metres above sea level on either side of the course. One or two ponds, in addition to the ever-present river bed, ensure the need for accurate driving from the tee, and good approach work to several of the greens.
A testing layout for both high and low handicappers, which combines wonderful ocean views with the more rugged terrain flanking the course.
Visitors welcome on weekdays and weekends.
Must book in advance.
Players generally walk this course. Golf carts available for hire.
