From the Johannesburg Western Bypass (N1) take the R512 (Hans Strijdom road) direction Lanseria Airport / Haartbeespoort Dam. After approximately 15 km at the 3-way stop, turn right direction Lanseria Airport. Follow road for 3.5 km to Blair Atholl main entrance.

Blair Atholl Golf & Equestrian Estate: this private golf course, located in the former family estate and stud farm of Gary Player, now offers outside visitor tee-times, albeit on a limited basis. Framed by mountains and meadows, the course winds its way out-and-back through the farm estate, which was home to Gary and Vivienne Player for over 20 years.
The partly open, partly tree-lined layout, designed by the Black Knight himself, is home to many excellently crafted holes. Extensive and opulently expansive bunkering combines with picturesque water features on this spacious and relatively open layout. The rolling landscape, with the Crocodile River passing through it, provides many scenic views onto neighbouring hills.
Pick of the holes: one of five excellent par-3 holes, the 8th is played from an elevated tee to a green on the other side of the Crocodile River. You'll also notice more than a passing resemblence between Blair Atholl's par-3 3rd hole, and the famous par-3 12th of Augusta National. The halfway house comes after the 8th, providing an idyllic setting where you can enjoy refreshments in the shade of trees overlooking the Crocodile River.

The name Blair Atholl comes from an historic town and Estate in the Scottish Highlands, the ancestral home of the Murray clan and the Dukes of Atholl. Acquired by Gary and Vivienne Player in the 1980s, it was for more than 20 years their private farm estate and home-base in Gauteng, South Africa.
