From the A22 (Faro-Portimao motorway) take exit 12 (Loule/Quarteira) and follow the N396 direction Quarteira. After o.6 km turn left at T-junction, still on the N396 direction Quarteira. After 2.3 km at traffic lights cross straight over the N125 and continue on N396 direction Quarteira. After 4.1 km turn right at roundabout just outside Quarteira, direction Vilamoura. After 4.8 km turn left direction Laguna-Millennium Golf. After 1.7 km turn right into golf (Laguna and Millennium courses share the same clubhouse).
Laguna Golf Course (formerly part of the Oceânico Group) is one of five courses in Vilamoura now operated by Dom Pedro Golf. The others are: The Old Course, Millennium, Pinhal and Victoria. The ever-popular Laguna course is located on gently undulating low-lying coastal terrain, which creates a flatter layout than most of the other courses in the impressive Vilamoura collection.
Laguna's feel is definitely "open parkland". The absence of penal rough will have you reaching for the "big-timber" for the majority of tee-shots. The layout takes you down towards the town of Vilamoura, before turning you round at the 14th for the impressive closing stretch back to the clubhouse - tough going especially if played into the wind.
As the course's name might imply, water is without doubt the main hazard to be reckoned with. The best of the "water holes" are all knee-tremblers from the tee, and include the short doglegging par-4 5th and 14th holes, and the hop-skip-and-jump par-5 15th.
The overall impression you get here is of a well-maintained and still developing course, where several trees dotted around the open landscape have yet to fully mature. The scenery is not overly spectacular, but the course is challenging enough in its own right. The Laguna shares its welcoming clubhouse with the neighbouring Millennium course.
Visitors welcome on weekdays and weekends.

Now operated by Dom Pedro Golf, five Vilamoura golf courses (The Old Course, Victoria, Laguna, Millennium and Pinhal) were formerly part of the Oceânico Group, a property developer and golf and resort operator in the Algarve. Approximately 30 km northwest of Vilamoura, at their Amendoeira Golf Resort near Alcantarilha, Oceânico still operate the Faldo and O'Connor Jnr courses.
The Laguna course comprises two 9-hole loops, which were the former East & South nines of the original 27-hole Vilamoura III Laguna course.
