Aroeira (Pines Classic course; formerly known as Aroeira I): Aroeira is a golf and real estate development, so don't be too surprised to find big villas occupying small plots of land on some of the course's boundary. On the Pines Classic course at Aroeira the villas do not however dominate completely, the quality of the course is impressive and much of the back-nine has a pleasantly natural feel based on its pine forest environment.
The sometimes tight tree-lined fairways eliminate the need for fairway bunkering and thankfully the rough between the trees is not too penalising. Relatively deep sand-traps are reserved for protecting the small, good quality greens.
Many excellent holes will ensure your golfing appetite is fully satisfied on this course, while you also get the chance to muse on the architectural styles and bright colouring of the villas on display!
