Meru Valley Golf & Country Club: This 27-hole layout offers very pleasant and contrasting scenery on its Valley, Waterfall and River nines. The Valley and Waterfall form the best combination, both initially sloping down and away from the dome-topped clubhouse and quickly entering an enchanting environment of jungle-lined holes and others in more open terrain.
Cascading streams run through both the front and back-nines, creating several fairway crossing and flanking water hazards. Beyond the par-4 13th green, although hidden from the golf course, is a waterfall that gives the back-nine its name. The terrain throughout is generally quite undulating, with a few holes feeling rather tight from the tee - although you'll discover there is more space available than you first think.
This well maintained and nicely presented course includes many excellent and challenging holes, often given a stunning backdrop by the surrounding jungle-clad hills, and an audible dimension by the babbling streams.
The short and very attractive downhill par-3 4th requires an accurate tee shot, with water in front and behind the green, while the similar length and also downhill par-3 6th can be played onto one of two greens. The long par-3 16th is perhaps the toughest and arguably most picturesque of the short holes, with a tee-to-green carry over the wet stuff.
The slightly shorter River course, with more housing around it, is not as impressive as the other two nines, but still presents several undulating, testing and enjoyable golf holes.

Meru Valley offers its members a wide range of facilities and recreational activities, in addition to golf. These include a swimming pool, tennis, mountain biking, basketball, children's room, gymnasium, fitness station and card room - and waterfall and jungle-trekking. The Club has the advantage of lying amidst the Kledang-Saiong Forest Reserve.
Nature lovers can take pleasure in one of the most spectacular waterfalls in the area, which is just beyond the golf course. This two-tier cascading waterfall spills into a pristine pool of pure mountain water where you can immerse yourself to your hearts content or simply let your spirit be at one with nature.
Rugged terrain allows for jungle trekking paths around the waterfall and the more adventurous can try trekking to the top of the mountain range. Guides are available for these expeditions. The waterfall is accessible daily and is just a short walk from the club grounds. For safety purposes, the club asks that you register at the main guardhouse before proceeding to explore.
