Above distances are for the Ocean course's Lakes-Ocean combination. The Ridge-nine is similar in length to the other two nines. Also at Els Club Desaru Coast is the 18-hole Valley course (par-72, 7200 yds from back tees).

Els Club Desaru Coast (Ocean)
Els Club Desaru Coast is home to two top-class championship courses, the Ernie Els designed 27-hole Ocean course and the Vijay Singh designed 18-hole Valley course. The Ocean course involved a substantial redesign of the former Desaru Golf & Country Resort layout. The Valley course is largely a new design.
Comprising the Lakes, Coast and Ridge nines, the revamped Ocean course quickly gained recognition as one of Malaysia's top-rated courses. Most of the layout weaves its way between plenty of stylish bunkering as well as fairway hugging lakes and ponds of various sizes.
On the Coast-nine the par-4 1st and par-5 2nd make a beeline for the beach. After you've putted out on the second green, you can then take in the sea views at the beachside par-3 3rd. The par-4 4th brings you back inland for the rest of the round. The Lakes-nine lives up to its name, with water in play on all but the par-4 1st and 9th holes.
The Ocean and Valley courses each have their own modern purpose-built clubhouses, as well as shuttles to and from the resort hotels. With easy access either from Johor Bahru (by road) or Singapore (by ferry), the Els Club Desaru Coast is a golfing experience not to be missed.
