Taiheiyo Club is home to the private and well-rated Gotemba course, the flagship layout of the Club's 17 courses in Japan. This wonderfully scenic course sits on the southeastern flank of stunning Mount Fuji in the Shizuoka Prefecture.
Played through avenues of tall trees, some wider than others, this classical and stylish parkland layout will thoroughly test all aspects of your game. Small lakes and ponds sidle up against several greens, while stylish bunkering also contributes to the Gotemba's handsome features. Spectacular views beyond the course take in forested hills and mountains, as well as the imperious Mount Fuji itself.
Limited access: this private course is generally playable only by members and their invited guests.
Private club; guests can only play if hosted by a member.
The Taiheiyo Club comprises 17 of Japan's top golf courses spread across different parts of the country, with several located around Tokyo. Host to the Japan Tour's Taiheiyo Masters and several other top-level professional events, the Gotemba course is the Taiheiyo Club's flagship layout.
Beyond the course to the northwest sits Mount Fuji, an active volcano and highest mountain in Japan. The most famous geographic feature in Japan, and one of the country's three "holy mountains", the volcano last erupted in 1707/08.
