Daihakone Country Club is located immediately north of Hakone Country Club, both being situated close to Lake Ashi, although not directly on the lake. The lake is a central feature in the Hakone Highlands, an immensely scenic region of volcanic mountains that lie between Tokyo and the heavily forested Izu peninsula.
