Verdura Golf & Spa Resort (West course): Located on the south coast of Sicily near the town of Sciacca, Verdura is a relatively recent addition to Europe's fine array of Mediterranean Stay&Play venues. With two similar length championship layouts and a 9-hole short course, Verdura presents top-class golf and resort facilities.
Both the East and West layouts at Verdura were designed by leading American architect Kyle Phillips. The generally higher-rated East course ranks with some of the best in Italy, while the also links-style West course is not too far behind.

The Verdura Resort is perfectly positioned to explore the island of Sicily, with its many historical and cultural sites situated close by. Sicily is the largest island in the Mediterranean, and as captivating as it is diverse. For centuries, it has been at the crossroads of civilisations and each has left an indelible imprint on this Italian region.
Verdura hosted the European Tour's Sicilian Open on a composite layout, comprising holes from both the East and West courses. The composite includes the 12 seaside holes, connected by six of the more inland holes. This Composite is generally available to be played twice a week, allowing you to test your game on a course used by Europe's top tour professionals. (See our Tournaments section >by Venue >Verdura).
