Golf Club Monticello (Blu course): Monticello, with a distinguished history of staging the Italian Open, is home to the Rosso (Red) and Blu courses - both are accommodated in a very expansive and relatively flat area of parkland, which is home to countless tree varieties and some lovely views of the tops of surrounding mountains.
The Blu course is generally regarded as No.2 to the Rosso course. It is a bit shorter and tighter than its slightly bigger brother, but still occupies the same picturesque and expansive area of parkland, weaving in and around the Red course. If you are planning a visit to Monticello, then try to fit in the full 36-holes - and allow time for a delicious pasta lunch in between.
Visitors welcome on weekdays and weekends. Closed Mondays.
Must book in advance. Proof of handicap required.
Players generally walk this course. Golf carts available for hire.

Monticello GC has hosted the Italian Open Championship on numerous occasions in the past, most recently in 1992, when Scotsman Sandy Lyle was the winner (see Tournament listings).
