West Waterford Golf & Country Club: Designer Eddie Hackett did an admirable job transforming 150-acres of farmland into this challenging and enjoyable golf course. Set in a quiet and picturesque area of rural County Waterford, the course brings the River Brickey into play on several holes, especially on the back-nine.
With several short par-4s on offer there's a good chance to build a respectable score here; but make sure you do it before the closing three holes, which include two long par-5s and the long par-4 17th. From many parts of the course there are pleasant views onto the surrounding rural countryside and the Comeragh and Knockmealdown mountains.
Visitors welcome on weekdays and weekends.
Must book in advance.
Soft spikes only. Players generally walk this course. Golf carts available for hire (if pre-booked).
