Olympic Games Women's Individual golf event (4th) (Aug 8-11; Summer Olympic Games XXXIII). Esther Henseleit (Ger; silver medal) finished 2 shots behind 27-year-old Lydia Ko (NZ; gold medal). Xiyu Lin (China; bronze medal) finished 1 shot behind Henseleit. Ko completed the full set of Olympic medals having previously won silver (2016, Rio) and bronze (2020, Tokyo). [Albatros course, Golf National, Guyancourt, nr Paris].

Olympic Games Women's Individual golf event (3rd) (Aug 4-7; Summer Olympic Games XXXII). 23-year-old World No.1 Nelly Korda (USA; gold medal) finished 1 shot ahead of Mone Inami (Jpn; silver) and defending champion Lydia Ko (NZ; bronze). Inami beat Ko with a par at the first playoff hole (par-4 18th) to secure the silver medal. [East course, Kasumigaseki CC, Kawagoe, Saitama, nr Tokyo]. Postponed from 2020 due to global coronavirus pandemic.

Played as the Women's Individual golf event (Aug 17-20; Summer Olympic Games XXXI). Shanshan Feng (China; bronze medal) finished 1 shot behind Lydia Ko (NZ; silver), who finished 5 shots behind Park (S Kor; gold). Park became only the second woman to win an Olympic gold medal for golf, following the return of women's golf to the Olympics after an absence of 116 yrs.
