Trevose Golf & Country Club: From the clubhouse and first tee, Trevose's Championship course stretches out before you, resplendently making its way down to the Atlantic seashore. Magnificent sea views and a relatively open and rewarding links golfing challenge awaits.
The often generously wide fairways, occasional bunkering and not overly penal rough may set-up the opportunity to card a good score, although the strength of the Atlantic breezes may conspire otherwise. As with many of Harry Colt's designs, the course is arranged in two loops of nine holes, the front-nine taking you down and alongside the coastal dunes, the back-nine forming an inland links, from which the sea remains visible from just about every hole.
The product of generally excellent green-keeping, the putting surfaces here at Trevose rank alongside the best in England's south-west. Benefitting from comfortable onsite accommodation and two additional nine-hole layouts (the Headland and Short courses), this is a classic seaside links venue that not surprisingly draws golfers from near and far.
