Tytherington Club
Opened in 1986, The Tytherington Club was one of the United Kingdom’s first custom-built golf and health club facilities. Situated in the heart of Cheshire, just outside Macclesfield, the modern parkland golf course is set in gently rolling parkland, containing plenty of elevation changes and undulation.
The layout is routed through partly-open/partly-wooded terrain with over 100 bunkers defining the fairways and guarding the often mounded greens. Small copses of trees and eight water hazards also create the need for good course management. Although nearby Prestbury Golf Club occupies an area of sandy subsoil, The Tytherington's base of clay can make things heavier going in the winter months.
The clubhouse offers state of the art health and fitness facilities, function rooms and health and beauty rooms, a club for all to enjoy. As of 2020, you can also Stay & Play at The Tytherington, with onsite accommodation in The Tytherington Hotel (see Where2Stay section below).
Visitors welcome on weekdays; more restricted at weekends.
Must book in advance.
Contact club for full details, discounts, packages, etc. [Last updated: 2021].
Players generally walk this course. Golf carts available for hire.
