Porters Park Golf Club: It is no surprise that Porters Park often gets an strong mention on many published lists of the capital's top golf venues. The central feature of this quintessentially English parkland course, is a stream that runs through the bottom of the course, providing a natural water hazard on at least seven of the holes.
Porters Park is laid out on wonderfully undulating terrain, with a requirement that several holes criss-cross the aforementioned meandering stream. The course also includes excellent (though not excessive) bunkering, a wonderful variety of trees, and many splendid long par-4s ... the 8th, 11th and 18th holes are just three among many gems.
Visitors welcome on weekdays; no outside visitors on weekends.
