3 mi SE of Rickmansworth / 22 mi NW of central London.
Car Park entrance is 100 yards NE of the clubhouse, directly off the main Rickmansworth Road (A404).
Northwood Golf Club: located in northwest London, this pleasant parkland course combines an enjoyable mix of tree-lined and more open stretches. The flatter disposition of the front-nine, gives way to a more interesting back-nine, where a modicum of elevation change adds to the character of the holes.
The heart of the course is splendidly in view from the clubhouse. From here the par-4 1st and short par-4 10th holes set off from the same large teeing ground, while you also look onto the double-green of the par-4 7th and 9th holes, and the short par-4 18th.
Northwood's good-width fairways are attractively framed by tall mature trees of many varieties, as is the layout's perimeter. There's not too much bunkering or water to worry you from the tee, but around the greens it's a different story. The greens themselves are typically large and circular, and home to subtle slopes and borrows.
Pick of the holes: embracing the greatest amount of elevation change, the gentle uphill par-4 14th and blind-drive downhill par-4 16th are two of the layout's most memorable holes, as is the attractively bunkered par-3 15th.
Visitors welcome on Mon, Tues and Thur only.

The hamlet, now large village of Northwood, developed alongside the Rickmansworth to Pinner road. Its history is chronicled from as far back as the early 1400s.
Within a couple of miles of Northwood Golf Club, you can also find other well-known courses, such as those at Moor Park, Sandy Lodge and Pinner Hill ... but none date back as far as 1891, when Northwood was founded. On the other side of the boundary fence at Northwood's 12th and 13th holes is Haste Hill Golf Course.
Like Northwood Football Club, the golf club's logo also features a five-pointed star and a copse of trees.
