Did you know?

The enormously popular "Lord of the Rings" by J.R.R. Tolkein, was originally written with the Moseley area in mind. Places such as Sarehole Mill and Moseley Bog feature in this world famous novel. Tolkein’s Uncle William was a founder member of Moseley Golf Club; he won the club’s first ever medal competition held in September 1893 with a net score of 112 off a handicap of 12.
