Milford
Milford Golf Club: One of Surrey's newer courses (relative to the county's older heathland layouts) which provides an enjoyable, if not overly dramatic test of golf in a pleasant rural setting. There are some occasional but testing water hazards, not least at the very short 17th, and then again at the par-5 18th - probably the best hole on the course.
The mixed rural environment of open fields and woodland, with a few houses along a small section of the perimeter, should ensure a relaxed round in this quiet corner of Surrey.
Visitors welcome on weekdays and weekends.
Must book in advance. Handicap required.
Players generally walk this course.

Milford GC is just 6 miles southwest of the historic city of Guildford, which has many interesting places to visit, not least the modern hilltop cathedral, Norman castle, cobbled High Street, Guildhall and Angel Hotel coaching inn.
