From the M42 on the eastern side of Birmingham take exit 5, and follow direction Knowle on the A4141. After o.5 miles golf is on your right.
Copt Heath
Copt Heath Golf Club: There are many golf courses, one can assert, that are defined by their splendid bunkering. Copt Heath is one that can make such a claim. Laid out on relatively flat terrain and benefitting from natural sandy sub-soil, it is the impressive, high-faced bunkers that give excellent definition to most of the holes.
Deeper versions of the abundant fairway bunkering, also lie in wait around the greens - giving you plenty to think about whether driving from the tee or making your approach shots. The par-4 opening hole underlines this fact most aesthetically; stray too far to the right off the tee and any one of a fine array of gaping bunkers lie in wait.
Trees also play their part in proceedings, lining many fairways, although never too densely. The course occasionally opens out, but rarely does it take on the feel of a classic open heathland layout, despite some recent gorse bush planting.
Overall, Copt Heath is a very pleasant golf course, with many excellent and stylish holes, superb bunkering, excellent greens, and plenty of challenge for high and low handicappers alike.
Visitors welcome on weekdays; more restricted on weekends.

Copt Heath is the permanent venue of the annual 72-hole Peter McEvoy Trophy for junior golfers. Peter McEvoy is one of the finest British amateur golfers of all time. He joined Copt Heath aged 13, and remains an Honorary Member to this day.
Peter won the the Amateur Championship in 1977 (Ganton) and 1978 (Royal Troon). In 1978 he played all four rounds at The Masters. He was also the leading amateur, winning the Silver Medal, in both the 1978 Open Championship (Carnoustie) and in 1979 (Royal Lytham).
He is England's most capped amateur golfer, and represented Great Britain & Ireland five times in both the Walker Cup and Eisenhower Trophy. He captained the GB&I Walker Cup teams in both 1999 (Nairn) and 2001 (Sea Island, GA).

Xander Schauffele: recorded his first major championship win, and second record-equalling low score of 62 in a major. Only he, Branden Grace, Rickie Fowler and Shane Lowry have achieved this feat in a men’s major championship.
