Mission Hills Golf Club Shenzhen (Ozaki course)

3-PLUS: Good course - several memorable features; worthy of 3½ stars.

Est. 1998

The Ozaki course at Mission Hills Golf Club, Shenzhen is a well-rated and always popular layout. The course takes full advantage of its undulating terrain, playing from several elevated tees through tree-lined corridors flanked by naturally occurring slopes. Wide fairways punctuated by strategic bunkering, contrast with the hole-lining slopes of native trees and plants.

Several small ponds and a meandering stream ensure water is in play on over half the holes. Both the nine-hole loops are closed-out with par-5s; after bringing the same pond into play on your approach shots, both holes bring you back to the same large double-green.

The Mission Hills Shenzhen resort centre is home to four championship golf courses (World Cup, Els, Ozaki and Vijay) as well as the delightful par-54 Zhang executive course. Just 5 km to the northwest you'll find the resort's Mid-Valley clubhouse, home to the Faldo and Pete Dye layouts. Another 5 km further on is Mission Hills' Dongguan Stay&Play resort, with another five championship courses (Olazabal, Annika, Rose-Poulter, Norman and Leadbetter).

You will need to be a guest at the onsite accommodations if you want to play any of the Mission Hills' courses in Shenzhen and Dongguan.
