Half Moon, Jamaica
Half Moon Golf Course is one of Jamaica's best rated and ever popular layouts. This tree-lined and open parkland course, originally designed by the incomparable Robert Trent Jones Snr, should not disappoint.
Routed through a former sugarcane plantation, the course hugs the lower slopes of the hills overlooking the Half Moon resorts. Although the Caribbean Sea is just a tantalising stone's throw away, the layout stays on the inland side of Jamaica's main north road (A1), with the layout never getting you directly beachide.
The Half Moon course contains many attractive features, courtesy of RTJ's excellent crafting. Amongst its defences, 26 shallow-faced fairway bunkers require well-hit tee shots to find the relative safety of the short grass. Constant trade winds blowing off the Caribbean Sea create up-wind challenges and down-wind opportunities.

Sitting alongside Jamaica's famous Montego Bay, the Half Moon area is also alive with resort hotels, and plenty to keep the active holidaymaker fully occupied. The Half Moon resort enjoys two miles of private beachfront, as well as one of the Caribbean's largest spas, award winning restuarants, and extensive fitness facilities, water sports, and wellness activities.
Jamaica's 4th best course (Golf Digest, 2022).
