Predator Ridge (Predator)
Predator Ridge Resort (Predator course): Two superb and contrasting golf courses await at the impressive Predator Ridge resort. The original links-style Predator layout, one of Les Furber's very best designs, was joined in 2010 by the equally impressive and more woodland-style Ridge course.
Widely recognised as a course that ranks alongside the country's best, the Predator is an immensely natural, scenic and challenging layout. The Scottish-inspired Predator is as good an inland links course as you'll find. Its open undulating terrain is home to plenty of gentle elevation changes, walkable if you choose. Good-width, classically-designed holes weave through plenty of swaying fescue grasses, with large stylish bunkering and occasional water hazards also menacingly in play.
The back-nine loop includes some of the best of the wonderfully crafted holes, laid out in a scenic rolling environment. Beyond the course, grass-covered hills exude a sublimely natural character, part wilderness, part ranch-like. The grassy hills stretch away to wooded mountains in the distance.
With two great courses to play at Predator Ridge, many ask which is the better - the links-style Predator course or the rocky, woodland-style Ridge? A bit like asking if red wine is superior to white!
Visitors welcome on weekdays and weekends.
