Rodd Brudenell River Resort (Brudenell River course): Two of Prince Edward Island's finest layouts occupy a beautiful riverside setting at the Brudenell River resort. The original Brudenell River course is now encircled on three sides by the more recent and bigger dimension Dundarave layout. The Dundarave, younger by 30 years, is now regarded as the more impressive and demanding layout.

The Brudenell River course arguably has the best of the resort's riverside holes. With an evenly balanced mix of six par-3s, 4s and 5s, Brudenell River is considered an easier-going course than its newer sibling. On this original layout the good-width fairways are stylishly highlighted by white sand bunkers and rolling mounds. On Dundarave the bunkers are an earthy red, reflecting the native soil.

The Brudenell River course is an attractive parkland layout. Here you'll discover a handsome variety of mainly tree-lined holes, both straight and doglegging. Each nine-hole loop starts and finishes alongside the resort accommodations and excellent practice ground. Both nines provide wonderful views out across the wide shimmering Brudenell River; both also have you playing directly alongside the river. The sweeping par-5 4th and seriously water defended par-3 5th are the two riverside highlights on the front-nine. On the back-nine the riverside duo come at the par-3 10th, which demands a tee-to-green carry over water, and the par-5 11th, also with water to cross directly in front of the green.

When not riverside, this natural and attractively tree-lined course presents good-width, gently undulating holes. Each one occupies its own space within a quiet woodland habitat. The only elevation change of any note comes at the downhill par-3 17th.
