Palmer Colonial
Palmer Colonial (formerly known as Paradise Springs Golf Course): this tract of former dairy farm, characterised by open grassland and bush, was transformed into a beautifully groomed championship golf course in the early-1990s.
The 6,424 metre parkland layout now meanders its way through 39 hectares of towering eucalyptus, picturesque lakes and serene waterways. Akin to a Japanese garden, flowering native and exotic trees and plants abound, while ornate bridges cross watercourses in which lilies jostle for space.
This generally well-regarded layout includes several attractive holes and features. The tree-lined and open parkland layout will test most facets of your game, and should provide a round with plenty of enjoyable golfing challenges.
Visitors welcome on weekdays and weekends.
Must book in advance.
Walking permitted at all times.
Good
One of the distinguishing features of Palmer Colonial is the clubhouse, with its old-colonial Queenslander design. Designed by Alan Griffith Architects, it is a wonderful focus of the venue.
